Aperture affects how the background of the image is focused. Wide Aperture creates a more blurry background, because more light is let in with the wider hole. Tiny aperture lets in less light, resulting in a more crisp background. f/4.5 is considered wide aperture and f/22 is considered tiny aperture.

Shutter Speed is how quickly or slowly a camera takes the picture. For Example, if the camera is taking the photograph at 1/1000 seconds the image will be taken very quickly, and the subject will be clear. But, if the image is taken at 1 second, the camera will capture all of the movements the subject makes.
